The acacia albida tree is also called Balanzan, Zaanga, Kadd,Thiaski and Mgunga respectively in Mandingo, More, wolof, Fulani and Swahili langages.

For beekeeping its flowers provide bees with pollen at the end of the rainy season when most of other trees don’t have any.
